Make Shit - Blackletter Shirt

DESIGN INFORMATION

This design came from an idea of locking up blackletter text in an interesting way, but none of the blackletter fonts I found worked for what I was envisioning, so… I ended up making my own, weird modernized blackletter-esque letterforms that I could more easily modify to my intentions. And if that’s not the spirit of ‘Make Shit,’ I don’t know what is.

Watch out, I might end up making it a full font.

Did you know that the term ‘black-letter’ comes from a greater proportion of positive-space, or ink (aka ‘black’), to negative space (or ‘white’) within the letterforms. Does this design adhere to that? I’m not sure, but that’s what it’s going to be called now!
